Le Périgord Noir
The town of Sarlat is one of the most visited places of the Black Perigord. It is an ancient medieval town beautifully preserved and restored. In season, this is a bustling market town, guided tours and festivals. In winter, four flagship events are held in November the Sarlat Film Festival which brings together many film professionals and well-known actors, in December the Christmas market, the truffle festival in January and the Feast of the goose in February.
The Dordogne is also two valleys, that of the Dordogne stretching from Carlux in Siorac in Périgord where nature is provided sublime heritage sites such as: the villages of Beynac, Roque Gageac, Domme classified the most beautiful villages in France, the sites of Rocamadour, Padirac Castles of Castelnaud, Beynac, Marqueyssac and many others. The Vezere valley is famous for the classification of its many prehistoric sites to the World Heritage by UNESCO. There are the Lascaux caves and the city of Eyzies world prehistory capital.
Black Périgord offers an exceptional terroir, many well preserved heritage sites in a natural setting conducive to calm and rest but also to the practice of many leisure and sporting activities. (Canoe, visit caves, walking, hiking, ...)
One of the nuggets of Black Périgord is also gastronomy: foie gras, duck confit, potato sarladaise, strawberries, walnut cake ... .. Lili and Kléber like to share the pleasure of the table with ease and simplicity.
